Developing Senior Leadership Teams (DSLT)
Developing Senior Leadership Teams (DSLT) has been designed to enhance the leadership skills of senior leadership teams (SLTs) in secondary schools to help deliver improved outcomes for children and young people. GL Performance, on behalf of the National College, is the DSLT provider for the London and East Government office regions
Operating as a highly effective unit is crucial for the senior leadership team of a school. Our DSLT programme will help you to work together and identify ways in which you can develop into a truly outstanding team that is working for the benefit of young people and ensuring the very best future for them.
The programme is tailored to address school-specific development priorities, with a focus on facilitation and coaching rather than prescription. Experienced facilitators will work closely with your SLT over six to nine months to address the key challenges and objectives in your school, giving you the time to reflect and plan your own next steps.
Making the best use of your time and budget is always a challenge, especially when schools are under increasing financial pressure as they are today. DSLT can be flexible and support individual schools’ requirements and challenges by offering different ways to complete the programme - plenty of support and advice is on hand to help you explore these. Therefore, participant costs vary depending on the circumstances of your school and the programme route chosen.
“It was a very successful two days for me. I often go back
to school and say ‘parts of the course were useful’ in
this case the whole experience was worthwhile.”
Paul Green, Royal Manor Arts College, Portland.
Final applications for DSLT will be accepted up until the
end of the spring term 2011. Please contact
us for more information and to progress your enquiry further.
