Granada Learning announces David Smith as Executive Chairman5 May 2006 – Granada Learning today welcomes David Smith as its Executive Chairman, following the company’s recent acquisition by Veronis Suhler Stevenson (VSS). Mr Smith, formerly Chief Executive of Taylor and Francis plc and subsequently Chairman of T&F Informa plc, has over 35 years experience in the educational and professional publishing sectors. Commenting on his new role, Mr. Smith said, “I am delighted to join Granada Learning and help to shape its development. The company’s strong brands and celebrated portfolio are well placed to meet the demands of the ever-changing learning environment. Granada Learning was acquired by VSS from ITV plc in April 2006.
